Jesus Christ is the Lord of lords and King of kings and so we want All of Christ for All of Life! In order to implement this vision, we believe that Christ has called us to equip people to:
Know and Love God
John the apostle wrote that the Scriptures guide us to eternal life (1 Jn. 5:13) and eternal life is to know and love God (Jn. 17:3). Since we know God through His Word and express our love to Him through obedience to His Word, our ministry is intentionally focused on equipping people to live under the authority of the Scriptures (Ps. 119:9-11).
While it is increasingly popular for people to define their own identity, we believe that the Scriptures define humanity as a whole and as individuals. John Calvin also famously stated that we cannot know God without knowing ourselves and we cannot know ourselves without knowing God. Since the Scriptures speak to each of us personally and authoritatively, we aim to help people understand who they are according to the Scriptures.
Embrace our Mission
The Scriptures do not present Christianity as something to be consumed but as a life to be lived. We believe that every person has a unique calling and purpose in life and so our hope is to equip people to embrace that mission. Each person is called to further the mission of the church as an institution (Mt. 28:18-20) and to organically engage their mission in the world (Mk. 12:30-31).
