Children are an absolute blessing from God. The bible commands us to raise our children up after Christ. God has given that responsibility primarily to the parents and secondarily to the church. At Mint Hill Presbyterian Church we take seriously the command to disciple the next generation of God’s children. We seek to train parents to raise their children to follow after God, but we also supplement that training through solid, Gospel-saturated, Children’s Sunday School classes and Children’s Church.
Sunday School meets on Sunday mornings from 9:00-9:45. We start with prayer and then sing praises to God as the pastor plays along with guitar. We follow singing with Bible lessons from the Gospel Story Bible and we finish our time together with a hands-on activity.
Children’s Church is available for children up to eight years old who have a hard time sitting through a sermon. Utilizing Children’s Church is always at the discretion of the parents. We encourage parents to keep their older children in the worship service so that they can learn that the worship of God is important and how to worship God properly. During Children’s Church the children will have a bible lesson geared to their age level, along with a snack and a hands-on activity.
For infants and toddlers we have a nursery available during Sunday School and the worship service. It is equipped with a speaker that streams the service live so adults can still listen and participate in the service if a child needs to be away from the sanctuary.
