We believe that humanity thrives when we live in complete peace with our God, our selves, and our world. Although we were created and long for this peace, our own rebellion has fractured and distorted every sphere of life. The good news of the Gospel is that Jesus came to restore our peace not only with God but with the entire creation. We believe that Jesus accomplished this restoration through his life and ministry and that the Holy Spirit has and will continue to apply this restoration through the local church until the end of time. Therefore, our vision is to embrace…
“All of Christ for All of Life”
In order to implement our vision, we believe that Christ has called us to equip people to…
Know and Love God
We believe that humanity’s deepest need is fulfilled when we understand who God is and what that means for our lives. Jesus taught that to know and love God is eternal life (Lk. 10:25-28; Jn 17:3; 1 Jn 4:7-8) and so our ministry is focused on equipping people to know God and let Him guide their lives.
We believe that the Bible guides humanity in understanding who we are as a community and who we are as individuals (Ps. 119:24). Since the Bible speaks to us personally, our aim is to help people understand who they are according to the Scriptures.
Embrace our Mission
We believe that everyone has a unique purpose and calling in their life and we call that purpose their mission. Moses taught that everyone’s mission is to cultivate the creation (Gen. 1:26-28) and Jesus taught that the church’s mission is to embrace our neighbor (Mt. 28:18-20; Mk. 12:30-31). Our hope is to help people embrace this unique purpose and calling in their life.
We believe that our values are the how of the what we do and we think that the following values are founded in the Scriptures, provide us with deep satisfaction, and are useful in advancing Christ’s kingdom…
We believe that Sunday morning worship helps us flourish and we celebrate this privilege by cherishing a God-honoring, disciple-making, and aesthetically-pleasing worship service.
We believe that humanity was created for relationship and that no one thrives in isolation. In fact, even before sin distorted the world God declared that it was not good for man to be alone (Gen. 2:18). In light of this, we are intentional about building a culture where people can experience the beauty and hospitality of the local church.
We believe that discipleship is the process of growing in our faith through the Gospel. The grace of God nourishes us through very ordinary things like the Bible, prayer, and the sacraments. This growth pushes us to live a truly human life which loves others just as Christ has loved us.
Church Planting and Renewal
We believe that Jesus builds His kingdom through and by His church. This means that we are primarily committed to loving and embracing our neighbor by planting and renewing churches locally and around the world (Mt. 28:18-20).
Mercy and Justice
We believe that God’s people have been called to pursue mercy and justice in a world that is often cruel and corrupt (Isa. 1:17). This means that we wholeheartedly embrace opportunities to love the least of these and we encourage individuals to pursue a life of mercy and justice towards others (Mic. 6:8).
